Anything that makes a provision for the flesh is a false belief system/doctrine. Such as once saved, always saved. I believe in eternal security because the Bible says, “No one can separate me from the love of God.” But I for one personally don’t look for scriptures in the Bible to appease my flesh. I look for scriptures in the Bible to crucify my flesh. I want change in my life, renewal everyday, more of God in me.
I’ve talked about it before and I’m going to continue with it. I don’t believe it’s alright for Christian believers to drink alcohol/wine, even if they’re not getting drunk. When are Christian believers going to stop trying to be like the world? We’re suppose to be separate from the world and be Holy like Jesus is. If you believe Jesus drank the wine that got people drunk your wrong. I wholeheartedly believe that was the grape juice of the time although in certain it was wine that got people drunk. It was either fermented not fermented.
1 Peter 2:9–“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
1 Peter 1:14-16–“ As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”
