God Hates Sin

Genesis 2:18—“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”

Who, other than God, could have imagined man and woman? In the very beginning, God had a plan. He took man and pulled woman from him. Each one equal, yet very different. Similar in many ways, yet created one for another. He created them for fellowship with each other and with Him.

Man and woman were formed to complement each other. The union would be forever a mystery yet would show the world what the relationship with Christ His church should look like:  Christ loving and sacrificing for His bride; the Church making her Lord and Savior shine. Only God can help us live out this equation: one plus one is to equal one.

In a world with so much gender confusion, be not confused. Marriage is a sacred union, important to God’s plan. To honor it is to honor Christ. In order to live it out, both must give sacrificially. May others see Jesus by the way we live out our commitments.

Father, thank you for fashioning me according to Your Plan.

A Struggling Saint

Romans 7:15
I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate

Perhaps the most vivid description of the contest with sin which goes on in the life of the believer is found in Romans 7:15-25. In verses 15 and 16, Paul describes the problem: "For that which I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not wish to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that it is good." 

Notice that there is only one player in these two verses--the "I," mentioned nine times. Notice also that this person has a good heart; he agrees with the law of God. But this good-hearted Christian has a behavior problem. He knows what he should be doing but, for some reason, he can't do it. He agrees with God but ends up doing the very things he hates. 

Verses 17-21 uncover the reason for this behavior problem: "So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which indwells me. . . . If I am doing the very thing I do not wish, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me." How many players are involved now? Two: sin and me. But sin is clearly not me; it's only dwelling in me. Sin is preventing me from doing what I want to do.

Do these verses say that I am no good, that I am evil, or that I am sin? Absolutely not. They say that I have something dwelling in me which is no good, evil, and sinful, but it's not me. If I have a sliver in my finger, I could say that I have something in me which is no good. But it's not me who's no good. I'm not the sliver. The sliver which is stuck in my finger is no good. I am not sin and I am not a sinner. I am a saint struggling with sin which causes me to do what I don't want to do. 

Romans 6:12 informs us that it is our responsibility not to allow sin to reign in our lives. Sin will reign if we use our bodies as instruments of unrighteousness (Romans 6:13). We must renounce every such use and submit our bodies to God as instruments of righteousness.

Prayer:

Thank You, Lord, that I don't have to sin. You made it possible for me to control sin's power over me. You delivered me from the wages of sin and blessed me with the gift of eternal life in Christ.

Since Tuesday Night in Plainview God has been experiencing a move of God at El Granito Foundation Church. Just in time before Evangelist Terryl Lipsey travels to India to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Not only was Evangelist Terryl Lipsey in the house, but a prophet who takes the pulpit the very next day laying hands on the people of God and speaking a word from the Lord. People had victories and people were given warnings to do go back to the traps of the enemy.

Mark 11:24^--"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
 

Perversion, addiction, division, violence are the things that destroy a city and last night was historical for Fresno California at Chukchansi Park when Mario Murillo Ministry gathered believers around the valley to come together and pray for those issues within cities and for the state of California. Although disappointment wasn't shown from anyone in the stadium for the lack of participants, people prayed for a move of God. Fresno churches got together, and churches from Dinuba, Sanger, Selma, and other surrounding cities came together to pray. God showed up and people were blessed, and some were healed from different illnesses.

Most High Minsitry Pastor Isaiah Reyna

It may seem unusual to some that a Pastor would have his services on a saturday morning, unless he was a Seventh Day Adventist or it may seem even stranger that his services are in a coffee shop, or that many meetings are happening within the 210 Cafe shop in Visalia California.

Pastor Isaiah Reyna and his mother Associate Pastor Maryanne Reyna of Most High Minsitry don't let that stop them from seeing people come to Christ and coming together as a body of Christ. If something like this seems interesting to you then you should consider stopping by for a cup of coffee while taking time to worship this Saturday. Services start at 10AM and end around 11:30AM, and aren't every Saturday. You can also visit our website to be sure what Saturdays Services are.

Pastor Isaiah has been pastoring at this location for one year and believes God will provide another location in the future. Possibly another coffee shop where Christian activities would only be the focus of the cafe shop. He shared with our ministry Chief Editor that sometimes it can be difficult to get invited to services and perform being that he's associated with several rap and hip hop bands in the Central Valley. Not only does Pastor Isaiah preach and teach the Word of God, he can also rap his heart out to God. He hopes that if God can provide a new location, this can be where Christians can come together and be able to do what they are called to do without being pushed away just because it's a little different.
